Information about us and our company
About now is where most companies write a statement such as their "absolute commitment to ensuring your visit to New Zealand will be the best thing you could ever possibly experience and it will all be down to us and our planning". For the most part having a knowledgeable, reliable and efficient organiser for your tour plays a large part in ensuring your visit is everything you expect it to be. So what is different about us? Well our knowledge, reliability and efficiency are something that we are certain of but can only be truly measured by you. Try us out. The difference is you will not get a vanilla flavoured suggestion designed just to part you from your money. Of course we are here to make money but we would rather not do that at the expense of creating something we know you will be disappointed with. We will not tell you something just because we think you want to hear it either. If we think something is a bad idea we will tell you and we actively invite all our guests to tell us every aspect of their experience afterwards, good or bad - and we listen. When we are permitted to, we publish these to our guest book. We love what we do and we think it shows in the way we do it and as the saying goes - do something you love and you will never work a day in your life. We never forget the comment made by one guest - it doesnt matter where you go and where you stay, its always the people you meet that make the difference. Who are we? David and Kerry Kettle - company owners. Having both been involved in travel and tourism in many different roles for the past 22 years from ticketing agent to rental car admin to marketing to coach tour sales. Based in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Sounds like a lot of experience but none of this is more important than travelling New Zealand constantly either on tour, by bike or on foot.
Where are we? Kimbell in the heart of the Mackenzie in the centre of the South Island. It has a population of 28 with 1 pub and a motel. With the assistance of high speed satellite internet communications it means we can operate a business from the beauty of the Mackenzie that would otherwise need to be based in a large city. One concern, and rightly so, for anyone dealing with a company overseas is security of transactions. Well the answer is simple - we only accept payment for tours and services via a credit card and this is administered by our bank - we merely provide a link and reference and the process is handled completely by their very secure systems. We do not see or store credit card details and use an electronic system provided by our bank to process refunds. This gives us the security of using a bank designed and administered system (arguably the safest way) and you the security of paying by credit card. One other comment - your plans may change at short notice for many reasons and you need to make sure you have adequate insurance cover to compensate for any charges or costs you may incur by making those changes.
